PETYX Considered Coat Care
How to use it

Fit & guidance.

A few honest answers before you buy. When in doubt, use less than you think — these are concentrates, and a little goes a long way.

Is it safe if my dog licks it?

Every leave-on formula — The Coat, The Balm, The Salve, The Veil — is formulated to be safe if a little is licked. They're fragrance-free and free of essential oils, xylitol and other things dogs shouldn't have. As with anything new, introduce it gradually and watch the first use.

How much do I use?

Less than you'd think. A few drops of The Coat worked along the back and down the tail; a fingertip of The Balm massaged into each pad; a single pump of The Mist smoothed through with your hand. These are concentrates — the small bottle should last a good while.

How often?

  • The Cleanse / The Wash Bar — as often as a bath is due, no more.
  • The Coat — two or three times a week on a dull or dry coat.
  • The Balm — nightly on cracked pads, then as needed.
  • The Veil — before sun, sand, snow or a long day out.

Cats too?

The Balm, The Salve and The Brush are cat-safe. Avoid The Mist and The Veil on cats, whose skin and grooming habits differ — email us and we'll point you to the right few.

Fragrance & ingredients

Fragrance-free by default. What you smell is the raw oils and butters — jojoba, shea, oat, beeswax — and nothing added. Full ingredient lists are on every product, and we're happy to talk through any of them: email hello@getpetyx.com.

An honest note on claims

PETYX makes grooming and comfort care, not medicine. Our formulas cleanse, condition, soothe and protect the coat and skin — they do not treat, cure or prevent any disease, and we will never tell you otherwise. Patch-test anything new and introduce it gradually.

For a wound, an infection, persistent itching, hair loss or any skin problem that isn't improving, please see your veterinarian. Good grooming supports healthy skin; it is not a substitute for care.
